Internationally leading technology enterprise ZEISS has celebrated the grand opening of its new China headquarters building in Shanghai.
The new China headquarters, located in the Shanghai Pilot Free-Trade Zone, encompasses a total area of 16,400 square meters. It is home to a wide range of activities: China Sales & Service headquarters for the Medical Technology, Microscopy and Industrial Metrology business groups, competence and training center, manufacturing facility for the ZEISS Industrial Metrology business group and central logistic and warehousing function for the Chinese market. Headquarters management supporting functions such as human resources, finance and accounting, legal and information technology for all ZEISS China entities are also now centralised in the new facility. The new building also houses the Shanghai Innovation Center, the Group’s first corporate innovation and research and development center outside of Germany.
